IBF super middleweight champion Lucian Bute (26-0, 21 KOs) successfully defended his title tonight with a 3rd round sensational TKO win over knockout artist Edison Miranda (33-5, 29 KOs) at the Bell Centre, in Montreal, Canada. Bute dominated both the 1st and 2nd rounds, then hit Miranda with a short right uppercut to the face. Miranda got up and almost did the chicken dance. The referee allowed the fight to continue only to be stopped several seconds later when Miranda could not defend against Bute’s barrage of punches. With this performance, I think Bute will beat anyone in the Super Six.
