Andre Direll, Arthur Abraham and Andre Ward are all predicting a Mikkel Kessler (42-2, 32 KOs) victory over WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch (26-0, 20 KOs) on their Saturday night bout in Herning, Denmark. Direll, who was defeated by Froch in a controversial split decision last October, had this to say: “Mikkel Kessler will win by majority decision. He’s a very smart boxer with great ability. Despite his loss to Ward, he has had a lot of success against Europeans and that will be the case again in this fight with Froch.”
Ward also thinks the same. “Kessler is too skillful, too polished, and has too many tools in the toolkit for Carl Froch to overcome.”, says Ward. I have to say I definitely agree. Froch is too slow and has very limited skills. Froch is probably one of the slowest, if not the slowest boxer in the history of boxing. I think he should be called Carl ‘The Sloth’ Froch. Kessler has better hand speed, movement, greater power and far superior skills than Froch.
Arthur Abraham says: “I think Kessler will win.” Abraham is being modest here when he said “I think”. The truth is, Abraham is absolutely sure about his predicton. Abraham knows what happens to slow boxers like him — they get knocked out. I’m happy that these three are rooting for the one who deserves to win the fight more, but I think they missed something. Kessler will not only beat the loudmouth Froch by decision, he will beat him by a devastating knockout.
